Advocating for a Washington State that subsidizes recovery, not addiction.

Right now, it is easy to get high and hard to get treatment in Washington. We want the opposite, because it should be hard to get high and easy to get treatment for addiction. We believe that recovery is possible for everyone and that sobriety is the path to sustainable health and freedom.
Prevention
There is no safe way to use fentanyl. Fentanyl is now the leading cause of death in the United States among ages 18-45. Close drug markets and stop the flow of deadly substances. Respond rapidly with services to those vulnerable to immediate loss of shelter or housing. Educate the public on the harm of fentanyl.

Intervention
Psychiatric and addiction treatment must be available to all, including mandatory treatment for those who present a danger to themselves or others, or can no longer care for themselves. We believe that law enforcement and alternative-response play a critical role in compassionate intervention.
Detox and recovery
Everyone deserves access to detox, treatment, and recovery. Everyone in recovery deserves a safe place to live in sobriety. Invest is sober living and incentivize treatment in all forms of subsidized permanent housing.
